The following outlines Electrical Direct terms and conditions. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time and you agree to agree with such modifications. Orders Please note that when paying by credit/debit card we can only deliver to the card holders address. Prices quoted are valid for 7 days - Prior to placing orders please complete our Quotes Form for up to date price and availability. Orders placed are accepted when you receive the copy invoice posted to you. Electrical Direct states that such orders may not subsequently be available to be shipped or that we may decide to refuse shipment subject to reasonable grounds. Electrical Direct reserves the right to refuse, prior to your receiving the posted confirmation, any or part of an order or to request further information from the customer appertaining to the order. Without prejudice to the statutory rights afforded to customers under English law, Electrical Direct accepts no responsibility for the failure in product shipments where such failure is a result of our inability to do so or on reasonable grounds not to do so, provided that we undertake all reasonable steps to inform you of such within 14 days of the order. In such a case we will either not process any payments or issue a full refund immediately. Please ensure that in placing your order you allow sufficient time for the order to be processed to avoid disappointment in the case of the above mentioned inability or refusal. Delivery Delivery charges vary by each manufacturer's carrier as indicated in our price lists. Most brands are delivered by the supplier direct to your address and room of use with removal of packaging, it may be possible to connect to existing supplies and collect your old appliance, for details email us at sales@electricaldirect.co.uk. In some cases items are delivered brand new and boxed by our carrier, as it is not available from the supplier direct. This service is normally a one man operation and includes delivery of the machine on the appointed day to the ground floor entrance of your premises, removal and disposal of packing is not included and in the case of larger items we may require assistance. For details use our quotes form and we will advise which products are delivered by our carrier. Please check goods are correct and free of damage as no claim can be made after the delivery has been signed for and accepted. Delivery times are normally between 5 and 21 days but obviously subject to suppliers stock availability. We make every effort to get goods to you as rapidly as possible, our carriers will contact you as soon as stock is available. Delivery times are Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm, unfortunately no timed calls can be arranged although it may be possible to give an indication on the day of delivery. Connection Connection of appliances cannot be arranged unless within our local service area i.e. SS post codes UK. Exclusion There are some areas in the UK where we may be unable to deliver certain products. These are: Channel Islands, Isle of Skye, Isle of Man, Orkney Isles, Scottish Isles Minor, Shetland Isles. Cancellation of goods The customer reserves the right to cancel their order, up to and including 7 days after they received the goods. To do this the customer must give notice in writing, either by post or e-mail and return the goods within 30 days of notifying us. The goods must be returned in the same condition as received, any statutory rights are unaffected by this agreement. If the customer wishes to return goods where there has been no error on our part, this will incur the original cost of delivery imposed by the carriers together with the cost of returning same. Also a restocking fee of 20% of the value of the goods no longer required. In the case of orders processed and payment taken if the customer wishes to cancel prior to delivery an administration fee of £20 will be imposed. We will reimburse the customer within 30 days of receiving the returned goods.
